From Strategy, Analytics and Corporate Responsibility to HR, Legal and Facilities – we rely on hundreds of different experts, every day.
We have a lot to learn from other industries, whether that’s elsewhere in media, FMCG, retail or tech. New perspectives are often exactly what we’re after.
Your role will span the whole business – so whatever job you’re doing here, there will be plenty of variety and collaboration across a range of departments. Working with change and shades of grey, and adapting to these, will also keep your job interesting.
Spanning more than a million square feet – that’s more than twenty football pitches – our Distribution business services around 50 publishers in the UK.
It’s also home to some of our central functions such as Customer and Credit Services.
We have distribution sites in Frating (Colchester), Grantham (Lincolnshire) and Rugby (Warwickshire) with returns in Manningtree (Essex).
Frating is our largest site and is home to around 400 employees across distribution and shared services.
Across Distribution, we ship over 180 million titles every year. That’s a lot of books. And we need to ensure that our warehouses run without a hitch to support the scale of our operation.
Customer and Credit Services are the glue that facilitate every sale that we make. They have the customer and the business at the heart of everything they do. It’s about going the extra mile – and looking at ways in which we can do things better.
