Work experience and internships

Come and try us on for size

We know that publishing can be a bit of a mystery.

How do we decide what to publish?

How do books get made?

And who tells the world about them?

What we can offer you and how to apply

We have year-round paid work experience slots of one to two weeks, where you’d be shadowing a team and getting to grips with day-to-day life here. It’s a learning opportunity – a chance to learn about the world of work and go behind the scenes.

Applications for work experience in spring are now closed, but you can head over to our work experience page to find out more about our placements and how to apply.

Our summer internships are usually advertised in the Spring. They are paid London Living Wage and are based around a project during this time.

Hints and tips

For work experience: be curious, be yourself.

For internships, the skills will vary depending on the department. Check out our blog for practical tips on applications and interviews as well as meeting some of our ex-interns…
